Recently, The Homeless Trust hosted Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, a heartfelt ceremony dedicated to honoring the lives of those who tragically passed away while experiencing homelessness in Miami-Dade County.
This event was more than a memorial—it was a powerful moment to reflect and recommit to building a future where no one has to endure life—or death—on the streets. 💔
The tribute included:
🕊️ A dove release
🎖️ A color guard presentation
🕯️ A candle-lighting ceremony
📜 The reading of names of everyone we lost in 2024
We were honored to have Cleve Bell, a member of the Board of The Homeless Trust, in attendance. Cleve continues to show unwavering support for the homeless community, a cause he also champions at Riverside House. Together, we strive for a future where everyone has a place to call home. 💙
