Community Outreach
Riverside House partners with organizations who provide support and education to combat community deterioration, juvenile delinquency, and crime. Through our Community Outreach we focus on partnering with three main types of organizations: Faith-Based, Resource Development, and Correction Institution Relations
Under this category we work with the community and with local churches who can assist us with the spiritual needs of our residents and their families, as well as our aftercare and outpatient participants. How Your Organization Can Participate with Riverside House.
In this portion of our Community Outreach, we partner with local community agencies that can offer further assistance to our residents and their families. For example, Riverside House partners with The Service Network For Children of Inmates to help our residents reconnect with their children after incarceration.
Riverside House strives to work with organizations involved in correctional institution relations. We believe that in addition to changing the lives of our residents, we as a society can do more to develop reentry initiatives, and find ways from inside prison to make the reentry process smoother. If you have any helpful suggestions or ideas, please send them to: cbell@riverside-house.org.
